Wandering through this website you are bound to become enlightened, inspired and entertained by a remarkably inventive woman and her famous creation. Located in Simi Valley, California, Bottle Village is a fanciful wonderland crafted from castoff materials. Appealing to all age groups and admired by art scholars across the world, Bottle Village is a one-third acre site covered with an assemblage of shrines, wishing wells, mosaic walks, structures and follies constructed primarily from discarded glass bottles.
Bottle Village has four distinct historic designations:
> California Historical Landmark No. 939 > Ventura County Cultural Landmark > City of Simi Valley Cultural Landmark > National Register of Historic Places
The Preserve Bottle Village Committee is actively seeking volunteers, materials and funds to help in efforts to re-open this historic treasure to the public and to restore art components damaged from the effects of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.
For all of you who have stories to share about Bottle Village, we want
